Events and Media

We love school, childcare or event visits! If you are interested in Andy or Steve coming to your school or event (within the Sacramento region) to read and sign copies for students, send an email through the site’s contact form.

  • As an added bonus–$2 for every copy of the book sold can be donated back to the school’s garden program or other local program with prior approval.

Past Events and Media Coverage

  • Andy joined his sister, Mary on Good Day Sacramento on April 25 in her kindergarten classroom and school garden to talk about getting kids excited to plant their very own tomato plants at home. So much fun!
  • If you missed it–Andy was on Good Day Sacramento on Friday, Jan. 29 during the 8 and 9 a.m. hours to see Andy demonstrate and (hopefully) demystify the seed starting process, talk winter gardening and goof around with the kiddos. Here are clip # 1 and clip #2.
  • Sacramento Bee–Seeds: Family garden inspires children’s book. Andy was so honored to be featured in the Sacramento Bee‘s Home and Garden section for a really nice and in-depth profile. Check it out here!
